Welcome back-
What the hell were you doing earlier!? The site kept breaking and just looked ugly!
Uh, sorry about that.
I was trying to make the site look more like one of my favorite aesthetics, Frutiger Aero.
Though while I can code in other languages, I for the life of me can barely code in HTML or CSS. In fact to write this post, I'm using a html editor.
So I took a lot of notes from this Frutiger Aero Github Repo and the main inspiration/catalyst for this change, Frutiger Aero Archive!
Found their site and the forum which made me want to make this site look like that. It was both surprisingly and unsurprisingly difficult.
The parts that was surprisingly difficult was mainly just changing the main section as I did not code the original look of the site (except for changing the colors, font and background).
Unsurprisingly difficult was getting the gradients, audio playing on button hover (if you can't hear them, then your browser is most likely blocking sounds on this site) and just updating other sections of the site to be consistent visually.
Getting gradients was made easier with one of the resources listed on the Frutiger Aero Archive Resource Page, a website to auto-generate the gradients.
That aside, I really like how the site looks now, especially after a year of running it.
And Thank you to the Frutiger Aero Archive for inspiring me to make these changes and also archiving the history and media related to Frutiger Aero!
The People there are very nice from what I've seen + the limited experience I had with them.
And with this quick post aside,
