Movement
Tired of walking back to where you died?
Do you like going fast?
Then this page is for you!
Basics
B-Hopping in TIME COWBOY is extremely simple. Just hold space and you'll begin moving forward, quickly gaining speed.
Strafing is also pretty easy, just hold A or D. This will make you move faster while walking.
But who cares about that? If you instead pair it with B-Hopping, you'll gain speed more consistently and faster.
It doesn't matter when or how you strafe.
What about verticality?
Double Jumping works as expected. Just press Space twice.
For Wall-Jumping, jump while pressing up against a wall.
Do remember, that you get 3 wall jumps, which don't reset until you hit the ground.
The Grapple Hook lets you close in on points and enemies, but can also be used as a reset.
Grappling resets your wall jumps, meaning you don't have to hit the floor if you just wall jumped 3 times.
With these three, you can use them all into gaining more height and speed, as you can also b-hop & strafe in the air.
Say you're too far up in the air, but don't want to wait for gravity.
In this case, look up and press S. You'll reach the ground faster.
"Advanced" Movement
There is some advanced movement, beginning with height again.
If you previously grappled onto anything within your current run of the level,
pressing the grapple button while in the air with no grapple target will slow your fall.
You can spam this to the point you can basically stay still in the air and use it to buy time for your weapon's abilities to regenerate.
